As previously noted in the Bankruptcy Court’s October 13, 2026 Announcement, the Bankruptcy Noticing Center (BNC) is experiencing a nationwide service disruption. The Court continues to accept filings, open cases, and process documents as usual. Until the issue is resolved, however, service of notices and orders from the court may be delayed. This includes Section 341 Meeting Notices.

The disruption also affects CM/ECF users' access to the mailing matrix.  Until it is resolved, CM/ECF users who need to serve pleadings or delegated notices and orders can find creditor and party addresses for a case by following these steps:

To obtain creditors and parties in a case:

1.           In CM/ECF, select Query from the menu.

2.           Enter the case number, then select Run Query.

3.           Select the Creditor link.

4.           Select the "Creditor List" link and leave “Creditor type” blank. Then select Run Query to view creditors and addresses.

5.           Select the Party link to see parties and addresses.

6.           Compare creditor and party lists to ensure a complete list.

Please note: These lists may not include addresses registered with the BNC’s Electronic Bankruptcy Noticing (EBN) program or the National Creditor Registration Service (NCRS). Parties and counsel should check service requirements to make sure every required party receives notice, including parties who don’t appear on these lists.

The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Maryland will be closed for business in both divisions on Thursday, December 24, 2026 and Thursday, December 31, 2026.  CM/ECF will remain available and emergency contact numbers are on the court's website.  These days will be treated as "legal holidays" for the purposes of Federal Bankruptcy Rule 9006 and Fed. R. Civ. P. 6.  

The Bankruptcy Noticing Center (BNC) is experiencing a service disruption nationwide, and the delivery of electronic and paper notices has been interrupted.  BAE Systems, the contractor that services the BNC, is actively investigating the disruption and working to restore services but the interruption is ongoing.  

The Court’s CM/ECF Notice of Electronic Filing (NEF) email system continues to operate normally and counsel of record in any open case should continue to receive NEFs via email.
