Information for Parties without an Attorney

The Clerk's office public intake counters are open Monday through Friday (except for federal holidays) from 8:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For information about visiting the Clerk's office, click here.  The Clerk’s Office is also open to the public through telephone access and the drop boxes located in the lobby of each courthouse.  Please call (410) 962-2688 for Baltimore and (301) 344-8018 for Greenbelt to speak to someone in the Clerk’s Office during regular business hours.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the U.S. Trustee has determined that all Section 341 Meetings of Creditors (“Meetings”)  will be conducted remotely until further notice. The instructions and information to participate in the remote Meetings can be found here. The U.S. Trustee encourages all parties to contact the case trustee or check the docket for up-to-date information. Any questions regarding Section 341 Meetings should be directed to the appropriate U.S. Trustee’s Office (Baltimore (410) 962-4300; Greenbelt (301) 344-6216).

Filings can be made at after-hours drop boxes located in the lobby of each courthouse or by mail.  The drop boxes are available from 4:00 p.m. to midnight in Baltimore and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in Greenbelt.  Instructions on how to make filings at the drop box are available at each drop box or by clicking here.  Note that payment may only be made in the form of a money order; no cash or personal checks will be accepted in the drop box.
