Personal Financial Management Course For Individual Debtors

(Chapter 7 and 13 only)

To receive a discharge in a chapter 7 or 13 case, an individual debtor must have completed the required personal financial management course.

The entry of discharge may be delayed by the debtor’s failure to provide the Clerk’s office with proof of completion of the course.

Debtors must Certify that they completed the course: Debtors are to use Official Form B 23 (Debtor’s Certification of Completion of Instructional Course Concerning Financial  Management.)
