Single-Part Motion/Application

This module will demonstrate the steps to file a motion in CM/ECF. This example demonstrates the electronic filing of a motion that requests only one type of relief. The same steps would be followed for other types of single-relief motions and applications. See also: Motions/Applications Multi-Part for guidance on filing a document with more than one type of relief.

 All motions are required to have a proposed order attached to the Motion/Application docket entry. (Motions for Relief from Stay are excluded from this requirement and do not have to have a proposed order attached unless it is a consent order).

1.                                       Click 'Bankruptcy' on the Blue Menu Bar

NOTE: If a filing fee is due, a few screen will appear warning you to disable your pop-up blocker, asking if the fee is exempt or deferred, and then the amount due.  You will pay at the end of docketing steps.

8.                                       The final approval screen appears: Attention!! Submitting this screen commits this transaction. You will have no further opportunity to this submission if you continue.
