Accessing CM/ECF

Last Updated: March 2012

The CM/ECF system is a web based software program.  CM/ECF allows attorneys and other public users to submit pleadings for filing and view case data from the internet.

Two sets of logins and passwords are required for Internet users (Attorneys,  U.S.Trustee, Trustees, and authorized Creditors)

1. CM/ECF - allows for the filing of documents.

2. PACER (Public Access to Electronic Records) - allows access to case information and reports.

The client code field is an option used by PACER users to associate an activity to specific client(s). All users are personally responsible for the activity with their logins. CM/ECF participants have access to maintain their password, their mailing and e-mail addresses.

CM/ECF attorney registered users must subscribe to electronic notification. Notices can be monitored throughout the day or by requesting a daily summary of activity. Every attorney user can access a copy of the document that has been filed one time without charge. It is advisable to save or print this document. Subsequent requests through the document’s hyper link will take the user directly to the PACER login screen.
